UPDATED STORY: Harriet has thrived and loved her life at Seed's Children's Home. It's been amazing to watch her grown and see her personality take shape. Watching her interact with her friends is one thing we enjoy. Her confidence is growing, although she's still a bit shy when you ask her questions. Like many of the kids, she understands English but is a little intimidated to converse with us... but with a little encouragement she'll open up. We asked her recently what she would like to be when she grows up - and she responded "a nurse, so I can help others". We love her heart. ORIGINAL STORY; Harriet is four years old and the sister of Everline and Metrine. She tells us that she would like to be a teacher some day even though she has not yet attended school. She is a giggly little four year old and seems to be as happy as can be despite the terrible conditions in which she lives. With no surviving parents, she and her two sisters live with their grandmother and are lucky to get one meal per day. She quitely whispers to herself during the interview as her eyes wander around the room. We later learned that the whispers are actually a song and that she loves to sing at church.
