UPDATE: Isaiah is now 9 years old and in the third grade. He has thrived at Seed's. His little personality is fun. He's silly, loves to dance, play "football" and hang with his buddies at the orphanage. He also loves school and told us he wants to be a teacher when he grows up. We have enjoyed getting to watch the transformation he has taken over these last few years. We are currently looking for a new sponsor for Isaiah. Life changes required his first sponsor to need to stop their sponsorship - that happens sometimes. We are thankful for their commitment to help him for so long. Now it's someone else's turn - would that person be you?
ORIGINAL STORY: Isaiah is just a baby, he's only 14 months but he looks like he could be only 8 months. He is extremely malnourished and very week. His mom is suffering from severer trauma and is not in her right mind. Last November Isaiah's father was murdered by a neighbor and his mother was the one who found him the situation was so bad it sent her into shock and she has not yet recovered.
Word got to the local Children's Office and they called in our partners in Kitale upon arriving it was obvious this family was in serious trouble. Isaiah has 4 brothers and 1 sister all who needed intervention now.
Two of us from the Mighty Acorn Foundation were already on our way to Kitale so we were asked to go take photos and gather stories in order to find sponsors for the children.
Isaiah is not doing well provision have already been made for him to be taken to the doctor immediately and he will most likely be moved into the children's home without a sponsor.
We are hoping a sponsor will be found quickly for this little one but we can't leave him where he is. MAF has taken up the task of helping him until a sponsor steps up. You could change the life of this little guy, will you? We are grateful for all the help we receive but especially in crisis situations like this.
