This is Philis and she's 9 and is one of those special kiddos that has stolen our hearts. She has been in the care of Seed's Children's Home for several years. When she was 2 years old her mom passed away and her father was overwhelmed by grief. Unable to care for Philis he gave her to her aunt to raise. Living with her aunt's family was ok, there were six other children in the home, so it was a busy place. When Philis' uncle died, things got really bad for everyone. The children resorted to picking through the trash for food and lived on the streets. It was on the streets of Kitale that our partners found Philis, skinny, dirty and sickly. They took her into Seed's and things began to change for her. She is now a lively silly little girl - loves school and is now in the 3rd grade. We need a new sponsor for Philis, someone that will love on her through letters and maybe even a visit to Seed's one day.
