UPDATE: Respa is now 15 and in the 10th grade at Seed's High School. Her favorite subject is math and she hopes to one day be a teacher. Respa has thrived in her years at Seed's Children's Home and her future is bright. Her long time sponsor recently needed to discontinue her sponsorship so we're looking for a new sponsor for this amazing, slightly shy young lady. ORIGINAL STORY: Respa is an adorable little six year old whose favorite color is green. She has two brothers and is the only girl in the family. I would describe little Respa as almost being flirtatious. She is definitely very spirited. Respa tells us that her favorite food is "mandazi" which is similar to a sweet donut. We learned during the interview that both of Respa's parents have passed away and that she is living with her aunt. Her aunt does not have enough money for school, books, clothing, or food and it is a great struggle for Respa each and every day. She tells us that she doesn't know what an orphanage is, all she wants is to be safe and not hungry.
