UPDATE: Rickel is now 16 years old and sponsorship has helped him be at Seed's Children's Home. It has turned his whole life around and he loves it. His personality is fun, all boy and yet there is a softness about him that we really like. He's always willing to help with the little kids at Seed's and he is doing well in school. He's a 10th grader at Seed's High school and his favorite subject is history. He hopes to become an engineer after he graduates. His sponsor recently needed to drop their sponsorship so we are currently looking someone to come along side him through sponsorship. Letters are his favorite - as well as playing football with the guys. Are you the right person to sponsor him, will you send him a note now and then to encourage him? This is Rickel, the oldest of three children we have just received word about. Their father passed away about 4 years ago and their mother just recently passed due to HIV Aids. Rickel and his two sisters have been in the care of the elderly and very week grandmother, who has not been able to provide for them.
Our partners have been told that the children have been suffering lack of the very basics of life's needs - food, clothes, clean water and good shelter. So they have asked us to find Rickel and his sisters sponsors as quickly as we can.
